On October 13th at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, nearly 500 people in commercial real estate came out to hear the story of David Allman, Owner and Chairman of Regent Partners. As a legacy in our industry, David has been behind some of the most prominent developments throughout Atlanta, and Regent Partners continues to make its mark throughout the Southeast.
David is a champion of many causes, and has been particularly influential in the Buckhead CID, the House ATL Task Force, and in the Urban Land Institute, and his involvement has directly resulted in meaningful and powerful contributions that will bring better economic opportunities for affordable housing initiatives.
At his core, however, David has felt called to explore new ways to create an even bigger impact on a global basis. He serves as the Founder of Opportunity International Nicaragua, spearheading efforts to establish new models for holistic alleviation of poverty. This program has built a technical high school, and has been contributing resources and financial support to bring a more highly skilled workforce to their economy.
As a real estate success story, David Allman could easily write a book about his lofty achievements and impact on the Atlanta skyline.
And as a humanitarian, David is able to tell an inspiring story of how much of a difference one person can make in changing the world around us.
What is The SIOR Leadership Breakfast?
Every Fall, the SIOR Georgia Chapter organizes a signature event - the Leadership Breakfast - highlighting a singular speaker to address a large gathering of commercial real estate leaders in Atlanta to share their unique stories. The purpose of this event is to provide a spark of inspiration and a sense of unity among Atlanta's robust commercial real estate community. While we may work for different companies and different clients, we all share the desire to learn, grow, and succeed by hearing the stories of others.
Past speakers have included people such as Steve Cannon, Michael Coles, Bernie Marcus, Tom Schuerholz and Vince Dooley, and this year, the SIOR was proud to have former Georgia congresswoman and CEO of Stuckey's Inc, Stephanie Stuckey, as the keynote speaker.
The SIOR (Society of Office and Industrial REALTORS®) organization represents the most qualified, successful and experienced commercial real estate professionals who specialize in either office or industrial properties. Our Annual Leadership Breakfast includes all of Atlanta's leading commercial real estate professionals and is a highly anticipated morning that brings together friends, associates and colleagues for great networking and a motivating program.
