As Georgia’s Commissioner of Transportation, Russell McMurray oversees an agency that has grown to more than $3 billion a year, employees more than 4,000 people, and operates the 10th largest transportation system in the country. He was recently voted the 2018 Georgian of the Year by Georgia Trend Magazine, not only for his visionary leadership, but also for his diligent crisis management during 2017’s 1-85 bridge collapse, a highly-coordinated team effort that saw the interstate repaired and open within only six weeks.
Richard Slaton, CCIM is the Director of Real Estate at MARTA leads all aspects of the transit agency’s real estate function, including its real estate portfolio, managing compliance issues and monitoring land-use issues. He is a part of the Office of Transit Oriented Development (TOD) that analyzes and evaluates prospective development of all transit oriented projects.
